Based on individual pattern differentiation
Determine prognosis: Mild - severe
Prenatal jing, fetus may be exposed to excess androgens in utero

Must have 2 of 3 criteria:
PCO (Polycystic ovaries): u/s evidence of small cysts on the ovary (12 or more less than 10mm diameter) increased ovarian volume (>9mls)
History of menstural irregularity:
9 periods or less per year, 35+ days or longer
Signs of clinical or biochemical hyperandrogenism
Hirsutisim
Alopecia
Excess in blood
